Henderson 4 - At fault for the goal. Couple of very dodgy moments, alright they didn;t lead to anything but it hardly inspires confidence? Needs to recapture his loan spell form.

Lynch 6.5
McShane 5
Butters 5
Hart 4

Reid 4
Hammond 4 - Feel a bit sorry for Hammond, has to do the running for the whole midfield.
Carpenter 0 - Passenger.
Mayo 5

GNW 6
CKR 4

Subs:
Carole 4
Frutos 4
Hinshelwood 6

Henderson 5 - Dind't have a great deal to do, but still looks a bit shaky.

Hart 6 - Looks so much better at RB, positional sense is coming on a treat (although occasionally gets caught out), gives everything and tries to get forward.

McShane 7 - Where the fook would we be without him.

Tank 5 - His lack of pace was exposed by their nippy forward line. They got in behind him for the first goal which meant our defence was facing their goal and this is always dangerous. Should only play against targetmen, although I hold MM responsible as he should have realised this.

Lynch 6- Had the busiest afternoon as Tudgay and Simek looked their most lively players but held his own.

Reid 6 - Looked very lively at times and our most likely chance of opening them up. Unlucky to be taken off.

Carpenter 5 - Better than previous weeks but still no where to be seen most of the time.

Hammond 4 - I do feel sorry for him because he has to do a lot of running but he is so off the pace it is getting embarrassing.

Mayo 5.5 - Did nothing of note offensively and should have been played in or moved into the middle.

CKR 6 - Tried Hard against a very well organised and tight Wednesday defence.

GNW 6 - Ditto.

Subs

Carole 5 - Did nothing of note.

Frutos 6 - Looked a decent creative outlet when he came on.

Hinsh 6 - Solid as always

MM 4 - Should have played Hinsh or El-Abd instead of Butters and either shouldn't have picked Hammond and Chippy or should have moved Mayo and Reid into the centre when he bought the wingers on.

Realising that Carole and Frutos were options to come on at half-time, I would have taken Carpenter and Hammond off, put the Frenchies on out wide, and put Mayo and Reid, both of whom has perfectly acceptable first halves, in the middle. It would have bolstered a central midfield which, with Hammond and Chippie shockingly out of form, needs some bite.

As it was, it left a very weakened midfield in the second half.

Couldn't agree more. Chippy was woefully ineffective, possibly his worst game for us EVER. And Hammond, well, when he gets booked so early on there is almost an inevitability about him seeing red.

Poor, almost throughout. Even lacking in spirit from most.
