Yelldell 5 - Half the player of last week; nervous and error-prone, gave away the second goal and sliced his kicks.

Mayo 3 - Appalling performance, gave away first goal, played a part in the third and passing was consistently woeful.
Butters 6 - Sound, but over-ran.
Virgo 7 - The pick of the defence, did well.
Reid 5 - Poor first half, picked up a little before being subbed.

Harding 6 - Decent cross for goal, did okay.
Hinshelwood 5 - Struggled out of position in first half, slightly better when played in his rightful place.
Carpenter 7 - Best midfielder, but overrun too often.
Nicolas 6 - Only contributed when restored to his proper position.

Knight *8 - Dangerous and lively, especially in second half, missed a good chance, great cross for Mac's second.
McCammon 8 - Rough and awkward, but very handy, got a good header for the first, missed a couple of late chances.

Subs: Jones 7, Hart 6, Hammond 5.

McGhee: 4 - Bizzarre formation, paid for it with defensive chaos.

Yelldell - 3- very poor, couldn't hold anything and was generally shaky
Mayo - 5- passed badly throughout.
Reid -6 - same as above. Much below his recent standard.
Hinsh - 5 - did ok, f***ed up for the third goal
Butters -6- average
Virgo -7 - solid
Nicolas - 7- Played out of position, fought for everything as per usual, looked better back in the middle
Carpenter - 7- decent game
Harding -5 - looked lost
McCammon - 9- two goals, fought for everything and showed some nice touches. linked up well with Knight.
Knight 7- Lively and linked up well with McCammon. Lack of support hindered him at times. Missed a chance late on?

wherever the money is
Yelldell - 3 Looked very poor after a superb display last week.
Mayo - 2 was sold more times than a cheap hooker
Reid - 5 out of sorts and nowhere near his best
Hinshelwood - 3 first half 8 second. When played in position he looked great but was crap behind the front 2
Butters - 5 Should have got his head to the ball for their 3rd
Nicholas - 7 Good showing and worked for everything
Carpenter - 7 another good performance by chippy
Virgo - 7 Mae some important tackles and we looked more solid when he went to full back and reid was pushed forward
Harding - 6 Did nothing wrong and worked hard.
McCammon - 8 took the header well and battled for everything
Knight - 9 battled hard, wanted the ball and his vision was very good ( apart from looking along the line to stay onside ) put some superb balls into the box and was well up for it.
Hart 7 did everything that we expect from him.
Jones 6 played some good football and was not helped by Kerry having a shocker
Hammond Not fair to give him a score as he did not have enough time.

Yelldell 5.5 - Lost confidence after the 2nd goal howler. A shame, his brilliant save from Reid's error doesn't deserve to be forgotten. Good throwing, let's hope the fans don't turn on him.
Mayo 5 - A rare off day, too many passes went astray. Shame about the first goal, not many Championship teams would have punished that clinically.
Butters 7 - I thought was excellent amid our defensive chaos but might be unhappy with the third goal.
Virgo 6.5 - Solid display.
Reid 5.5 - Has had a great run recently but too many stray passes today.

Harding 6 - Worked hard, did nothing wrong without ever threatening to make a telling contribution.
Hinshelwood 6 - Did well in marking Spanish playmaker Idiakez out of the game in the first half, but again should have put more pressure on Tudgay for the third.
Carpenter 6 - Battled hard, but outgunned by the superior Derby midfielders.
Nicolas 6 - Some great defensive tackles but lacking Oatway's influence in the opposition half.

Knight 6.5 - Far too quiet in the first half, but came good particularly near the end, almost got the winner.
McCammon 8 - MOTM by a mile, great aerial presence, some nice lay-offs, one terrific run, one showboating drag-back, showing some promising signs of a partnership with Leon. He did his job today, fantastic debut as "one of ours". In six months' time, that extra fitness will make the difference to those chances he got at the end.

Jones 7 Another impressive display from the bench, fighting hard for that contract.
OGH 6 Didn't happen for him but worked hard.
Hammond No time to be rated.

McGhee 7 - His move to shackle Idiakez in the first half worked, we just conceded sloppy goals, no formation can cope with that. Let down by too many of his players today, but he won't mind, there was some good things to come out of today and all our main rivals didn't help themselves.

Yelldell - 5 - not a good day for him. Looked nervous, kicking was poor and he didn't hold much.
Mayo - 5 - caught out bit too much
Reid -6 - at times drifting, but was one of only a few of our players looking to get forward.
Hinsh - 6 - seemed to be playing much further up the pitch
Butters - 6 - Caught out for third goal, but did well
Nicholas - 7 - got stuck in, unlucky to be subbed.
Carpenter - 7 - again got stuck in, did well
Virgo -7 - our best defender
Harding -6 - worked hard
McCammon - 8 - ran his socks off, scored 2 and did well
Knight - 7 - loads of running, unlucky not to get on scoresheet

How did Mayo get any points? If you get 2 for turning up, and 1 deducted for each goal that you create for the opposition, that makes a big fat Zero. He was clearly Derby's man of the match.

Still Somewhere in Sussex!
Yelldall 5 - Looked very nervous, and lacking in confidence when coming for the ball. Needs some heading practice this week if he's gonna come up for corners :lolol:
Mayo- 5
Butters- 7.5
Hinshlewood- 7.5
Reid- 6 - Kept getting beaten by their forward, so he seem to resort to hanging on to him every time he got the ball.

Nicholas- 7.5 - Covered acres of the pitch, got a few good tackles in!
Carpenter- 7.5
Virgo- 7.5
Harding- 7 - Looks quite good in front of Mayo, thought he was playing too good to be subbed

Knight- 9 - MOM Created some execellent chances in the second half, on the left hand side. Didn't go down unnecissarily under some heavy Derby challenges.
McGammon- 8 - Good workrate, got in some good positions, still needs to get a better first touch. Fitness level looks back to normal.

Hammond- 6
Jones- 7
Hart- 7.5 - Good attitude from Mr. Hart. Got stuck in, did lots of nice linking play behind the forwards.
