Kuipers - 8 Usual mix-up early on, but his confidence is high enough to put in a great performance
Reid - 7 Excellent, a pleasure having a right-back who can distribute
Hinshelwood - 7 A couple of mistakes but as a very gifted footballer
Mayo - 6 Fine job as fill-in, had his hands full with the ex-Leeds guy though
Harding - 6 His return to form over the last couple of weeks has been a joy

Hammond - 7 This guy doesn't get enough praise, he's everywhere
Nicolas - 6 Industrious again at the back. Wish he'd use his talent more in the final third though
Oatway - 7 Fine display. Really proving his simple-minded critics wrong, virtually faultless and a fine choice as skipper
Currie - 8 Player of the season,. don't anybody else bother entering

Knight - 8 MOTM just over Currie, goal creator and the spark up front
Virgo - 7 We won't sign a centre forward this good. He's here all season I think.

sounds like reid had a good game like the reports say for his reserve perofmances at right back.

surely would be a better option to have this:

reid----hinsh---- butters---- harding

currie---nicholas---chippy---jones/hammond

---------knight--------virgo

for the next few games and then move hinsh to right back when cullip returns.

Kuipers - 7 - Good saves but still does not control his area.

Reid - 7 Solid display.
Hinshelwood - 7 - Did nothing wrong.
Mayo - 6 Bit slow and was turned a few times by their forwards.
Harding - 7 Distribution still needs to be improved.

Hammond - 7 - Worked hard again.
Nicolas - 7 - Another very solid, reliable performance.
Oatway - 7 - Didmvery well within his limitations.
Currie - 9 One mistake, apart from that, absolutely superb.

Knight - 8 - Big improvement, well done Leon.
Virgo - 5 Looked jaded, everyone has off days.

Sub: Jarrett 6 -few good runs, but didn't really get going.

Saves me typing it all out except I would have Currie as MOM.
Knight's pass to Currie was one of the best bits of football I have ever seen at Withdean.

Kuipers 8- brilliant in the second half

Reid 8- fantastic performance, looks a natural at right back
Hinshlewood 7- very good on the ground and read the game well.Needs an ariel presence next to him.
Mayo 6- worked hard but lack of pace lets him down.
Harding 7- much improved, still needs to work on his distribution

Currie 9-Brilliant skills and vision until he tired in the last ten minutes MOM
Oatway 7-Being captain seemed to calm him down and let him concentate on disrupting their play.
Nicholas 7- Another hard working perfomance but seemed to tire towards the end.
Hammond 6- Another for whom the two week break has come at the right time.

Knight 8- His best game at home this season.Much beeter attitude and looked to be enjoying it again.
Virgo 6- Not his best game of late but his constant harrasing of the opposition defense cannot be under estimated.

Subs; Jarret 6- If we are giong to play him we must give him the ball more. Good skills and fantastic pace but he must learn to choose the right options when he gets to the penaly box.

Mark Maghee 9- Did as well as he possibly could with his limmited resources. Reid was a great success and Oatway did well as skipper. We missed Danny cullip terribly .

Kuipers 8 made a couple of point blank saves.
Reid 7 slotted in well in an unaccustomed position.
Hinshlewood 9 MOM excellent display from a man who I have doubted had the ability to succeed at this level.
Mayo 6 did what was expected but was often too slow and got caught out obviously not a central defender.
Harding 7 Played his usual way but I am not happy when he has the ball and is under pressure.
Currie 7 Usual composure on the ball. Took his goal well.
Nicholas 7 Good all round solid performance.
Oatway 7 Same as Nicholas lead by example as captain.
Hammond 6.Has impressed so far this season given his chance but was a little subdued before being substituted.
Knight 7 chased everything but was given little opportunity by Utds big central defender.
Virgo 6 . Not one of his better games up front didnt win a single header in a tussle with therir No 6 looked tired and jaded.
Sub :

Jarrett 5 Did very little when he came on except for one twisting run finishing up with a poor right footed 'pass' to the goalkeeper from 25 yards.

Just a thought:

Oleg Luzny (ex Arsenal Wolves Central Defender ) is training with Barnet would it not be an idea to approach him with a months trial/short contract to help us get over the 6 weeeks that Cullip is out. If it is a short twerm contract that doesnt affect our loans.

Kuipers 9 - Won us the points with a string of second half saves.

Reid 7 - Did well playing out of position, didnt look this good as a right back against Lewes pre season.
Mayo 7 - Held the defense together very well, needed to have a big game as the most experienced defender we have and did.
Hinshelwood 7 - Deserves his call up to the under 21's, made some mistakes but always made up for them.
Harding 6 - Better than some of his recent games

Hammond 6 - Out of position but played well, great descision to extend his contract to the Summer of 2006.
Nicolas 7 - Quite game but still our best midfielder, shows so many great touches, needs to attack more tho.
Oatway 6 - Good performance but faded in the second half.
Currie 9 - Brilliant again, looks to create something everytime he has the ball, needs to change up the corners sometimes as the keeper started reading them well.

Knight 8 - Good running, great vision to set up the goal, needs to put in 90 min performances tho as he goes too quiet for periods of the game.
Virgo 7 - He looks like a natural up front, couple of good shots and always kept their defenders on their toes.

Agree with all the praise MM is getting with so many injuries to senior players, so many players out of position and such a young squad he is doing a fantastic job. :clap2:

Kuipers 9 Superb stuff from FDM - again (worryingly).

Reid 7 Coped OK. Nothing special but generally not much wrong
Hinshelwood 6 Always looked awkward and nervous. Still don't rate him.
Mayo 8 Had to deal with Shaw AND Hinshelwood getting under his feet. Tidied up nicely.
Harding 7 One of his better games. Don't recall their right-winger having too much joy

Hammond 6 Playing out on the right doesn't seem to suit him.
Oatway 6 The fact that he had to stretch for so many tackles implies his postional play isn't quite right. Hammond should have been playing in this position.
Nicolas 8 Superb display again. Most consistent performer so far this season and red-hot cert for Player of the Season at this rate.
Currie 9.1 At times was little short of awesome. Brilliant. Needs lessons from Cullip about backpassing though.

Knight 8 Much better from the Little One. Would have been more effective if better supported by...
Virgo 5.5 who I am sure would admit he had a stinker by his standards.

Subs: Jarrett 6.5 A luxury player in the mould of Paul Brooker. Didn't really get too much opportunity to shine, but showed to nice touches when he did.
