. As I said a week or two ago, he's a truly dreadful keeper and I predict it won't be long before he single-handedly costs us a game.

But still good enough to get his contract extended and be No 1 for the remainder of this season with FDM as back up. GP has obviously decided that FDM is not the answer to be the automatic choice each week.

Right here, right now
Not fair at all. I wasn't one of the lynch mob slagging off Smith for weeks on end recently. I thought Smith was let down by a shocking defence mainly. Brezovan, while still having a pretty poor defence in front of him, creates extra problems because of his own cock-ups. As I said a week or two ago, he's a truly dreadful keeper and I predict it won't be long before he single-handedly costs us a game.

Yes, of course Gus has decided that. Despite all him seeing of Michel is arguably our greatest goalkeeping display of the last three years.

More likely, he's brought in Brezovan because Michel was injured and Smith out of form, has a lot of loyalty to him because of their Swindon connection, and with the stats saying he hasn't let in many goals (despite, in my opinion, some poor performances) he's sticking with him for the time being. Quite how you manage to conclude that because Michel hasn't won his place back in the TWO GAMES since he returned to fitness he has no future at the club I do not know.

.

Gus Poyet and Tony Godden do not just watch any goalkeeper in a 90 minute match they see him in training and would base their decisions on that and the actual games. They will also talk with the other players to form an opinion as to whom they feel most comfortable with behind them.
