Fiveways
Sanchez 7 -- a calm presence, excellent distribution, a couple of good saves
Veltman 7 -- did well after the early booking, especially as he was up against the dangerous Harvey Barnes
Duffy 6.5 -- some poor passing in there, but proper Duffy backs-to-the-wall defending
Dunk 7 -- solid, calm and classy
Cucurella 9 -- a cracking home debut, he's going to be a cult hero
Bissouma 7 -- some great interceptions, hopefully staying on for c80 minutes hasn't aggravated his injury
Lallana 7 -- some great pressing and blocks amongst the inventiveness
March 6 -- solid stuff
Welbeck 7 -- a lovely run for the goal, and plenty of good touches and hard work, was tiring just before he came off, as they exploited the space down our left flank
Trossard 9 MotM -- a box of tricks, loves that free role, they couldn't handle him. A pre-assist for the first, and a great delivery for the second.
Maupay 6.5 -- calm penalty, some good strength and hold-up play, great work rate as ever.

Subs:
Mwepu 5 -- one great cross, but too many mistakes in there
Burn 6 -- a good addition that brought about a change of formation, and quelled their threat down the right
Moder 6 -- solid

That was one of our best performances in the PL. Fantastic work from Potter, who pretty much got everything right. Special mention for the linesman: three decisions that impacted the result.

Agree with all except Cucurella. I will give him 15 out of 10 for his excellent debut and his truly magnificent hair….hair which the weather made more voluminous as the game wore on.

Pretty much agree with that, but I would mark Lallana down to 6, and Mwepu down to 4 (and that's being a tad generous) as he just wasn't up to it.

From the NS so not the best view:

Sanchez 7
Veltman 7 - up against a brilliant on the day Harvey Barnes.
Duffy 8
Dunk 8
Cucurella 9
Bissouma 8.5
Lallana 6 - love the player, but he kept passing to them under no pressure.
March 8
Trossard 9 - great in that no 10 role, loved that performance.
Maupay 7.5 - great work rate and team play.
Welbeck 8

Burn 7.5 - perfect to see it out, well done GP.
Mwepu 5 - just couldn’t impose himself.
Moder 6.5 - helped see it out.

Potter 9.5 - calmness personified, didn’t panic when LCFC ran the first 20 letting the players work it out for themselves and they certainly did. His game plan against a team of confident winners was perfect. Early use of subs helped get us over the line.

Agree with pretty much all of your ratings - Trossard has looked a different player in the last couple of games, he's really stepped it up a couple of gears. Only change is I'd give Maupay a 7.5, thought he worked really hard all day and was involved in some nice interplay.

Potter did well having no choice but to go more defensive when they were all over us. Burn was a good substitution. Cucurella had a great first half but he was struggling to hold the left flank in the second for a little while. Burn seemed to make things calmer.

Agree with most of that, maybe Burn up to a 7 and Mwepu a 4 or even 3. But otherwise our opinions align

Sanchez 7 - some nice saves but would have wanted a bit more presence on the corners today

Veltman 7
Duffy 7
Dunk 7 - all three of them looked classy as ever and closer to 8s than 6s.

March 6 - didnt contribute much going forward today but did fine against Barnes
Bissouma 7 - looked a little bit hampered by the injury but still good
Lallana 7 - worked hard and a lot better than last week
Cucurella 8 - impressive, think he made quite a few mistakes last week but seemed more comfortable today

Trossard 8 - close to a 9, great game (again).

Maupay 8 - everywhere
Welbeck 7 - bit invisible sometimes but nice goal and overall a decent performance

BDB 7 - came on and stopped the Lookman show
Mwepu 4 - that was very poor, lost the ball multiple times in dangerous areas. Got a bit of adapting to do.
Moder 6 - didnt do much

Agree with the OP’s ratings. Spot on!

But also:

West Stand Lino - 10
VAR - 10
Barnes - 10, fantastic work for both goals.

Seeing Kasper Schmeichel celebrating their ‘equalising’ goal by turning around and jumping towards the North Stand, only to turn around and see the offside flag, was beautiful.

Amazed people giving March a low score, he kept Barnes out of the game for an hour, and he only came into it once he went off (and proved a threat). I know he's NSC designated scapegoat at all times but come on.

Everybody gets an 8 except for Cucurella and Maupay who get 9s. They all deserve so much credit for this performance.

None of this 6s or 7s bollocks. I'm 53 and these sort of performances against top sides need to be savoured. They played their hearts out.
