Why is everyone being so harsh on Fraser?

I'd say he was worth a 6 whilst the rest of the midfielders were 4's and 5's.

At last! Someone who saw what I saw!! People appear to be very quick to slate Fraser's performance. When in reality he played better than his CM counterpart yesterday!!

I also think people do the same with Dean Cox, who wasn't as awful as people are saying he was yesterday.

Ok so he didn't dominate the game. But he was in no way bad enough to warrant some of the ratings on this thread!

I thought he was our best midfield player until Robinson came on, even if that isn't saying much considering the midfield as a whole let us down today.

Fraser was getting stuck in like a good 'un. Nearest thing we currently have to a midfield enforcer

(don't say a lot about the senior players around him - they need to take a good long look at themselves)

Kuipers - 6 - Didn't have much to do to be honest

Whing - 6 - Solid except went missing for goal
El-Abd - 7 - A rock in defense
Elphick - 8 - Won everything
Richards - 6 - Not as impressive as last match but not much wrong

Cox - 6 - Good in spurts and looked most likely to deliver a decent ball - if only he could be more consistent!
Thomson - 5 - A day to forget as he gave the ball away too much
Fraser - 5 - Not really good enough even if he did try hard
Bowditch - 4 - Did very little and went missing for long parts of the game, at least he defends better than Robinson which is why he's starting.

Murray - 6 - Looked lively but he can't keep missing sitters
Forster - 7 - Usual determination and energy and still our most dangerous player.

Subs
Martot - 6 - Not really time to make much of an impact, personally I would start him over Fraser as even if he loses the ball or goes missing, he is more creative.
Dixon - 6 - Not really given a chance to show much but at least he got his foot on the ball

Strangely I didn't think we did too badly yesterday but when I thought of ratings I couldn't really think why I was giving poor marks to almost every player.

El-Abd and Elphick looked really good and were unlucky not to keep a clean sheet. Our main problem was midfield as ever, Thomson wasn't as good as he usually is and the wingers were pretty useless. A shame because Murray and Forster are becoming a great partnership - lets hope they can both stay fit.
