Kuipers - 8 - Made a superb reflex save in the first half to stop a possible own goal? from close range. Later on pushed a good effort up onto the bar.
Hinshelwood - 7 - His usual dependable self. He's having a great season.
Pethick - 7 - Did all he had to and you couldn't ask for much more.
Butters - 8 - Solid at the back. Well taken Goal. NSC's Number 1!
Mayo - 7 - Good game. Made some important blocks.
Hart - 7 - Played an important team role.
Carpenter - 7 - His usual game really. A couple of poor passes but generally an important player.
Rehman - 8 - Good positioning. Great technique. Good vision. Superb goal.
Jones - 8 - Jonah on fire. When he had the ball at his feet he was causing them all sorts of problems.
Knight - 8 - Terrorised the defence. Scored a great score.
McPhee - 7 - Worked his socks off. Had a great chance but had to much time to think about it.

Piercy - 6 - Had little to do.

Best performance of the season with 7 first team players out. Brilliant.

Every player 10/10 bar Carpenter (who was absolutely rubbish last night, he didn't complete one pass) and Mcphee, who, ok is a local lad but is a local lad that was never good enough and still aint good enough, bring in OWUUUGGGAAA.

Kuipers 8 (deserved a clean sheet)
Hinshelwood 8 (solid at the back)
Pethick 6 (tiredness after so many games)
Butters 8 (dependable at the back, nearly one slip heading backwards though)
Mayo 7 (kicked one off the line at one stage)
Hart 8 (ran and ran and ran)
Carpenter 6 (same comment as Robbie)
Rehman 8 (I like this guy, great positioning, passing and shooting)
Jones 7 (same comment as Hart)
Knight 9 (never gives up trying to score and it pays off)
McPhee (worked his socks off)

I thought McPhee was outstanding last night. Him and Rehman were the difference as to how we were able to attack at pace. Let himself down slightly when he had a chance late in the game but otherwise plenty of pace and held the ball up very well. Incidently, Robinson warming up before the game taking shots, said to my mate I wonder if it will reach the goal. CRASH-straight back off the cross bar!

Great reading all of the above.Esp Rehman:thumbsup:

Kuipers 8 (an excellent reflex save, again cementing his no.1 spot)
Hinshelwood 8 (still improving, but solid...work on your distribution)
Pethick 5 (not a performace that lived up to his football genius chant...lucky not to be sent off)
Butters 7 (solid again)
Mayo 7 (quite a lot of crosses coming in from his side)
Hart 8 (tirelessly worked, hope his injury cuased by the advetising board is not serious)
Carpenter 7 (an indifferent performance)
Rehman 8 (seemed alright, wasn't sure of his defencive duties for set pieces letting people get in front of him several times...good take for his goal)
Jones 8 (worked hard and provided several creative moves)
Knight 8 (tricky as ever, caused panic in defence and took his goal excellently when there was still much to do)
McPhee 8 (everything Henderson couldn't do, flicks on, holding the ball up gave us another presence up front not seen of late...couple of passing mistakes made in important attacks and needs to put more sting into his shots)

MoM Rehman, for a player who has only been with us for a few days he looked very settled, very neat and tidy and a cracking goal.

LOL. His record suggests he reaches the goal with monotonous regularity. Just ask Lance Cronin :lolol:

Dwaynes suit 7... The jacket was more for me than for him, a little large.

on your bike Dwayne, that was easily McPhee's best game for us. His running on and off the ball was excellent, and he was unlucky not to score.

Well played, Plug.

And of course big Guy.

"Guy Guy Guy,
Guy Butters
Guy Guy Guy,
Guy Butters
Once you were poor
But now you're not fat any more
Forgive us big fella, now get your arse up there and score"

(Apologies to Delilah)

Kuipers 8 - did everything he needed to and one of their players certainly felt his full force

Hinshelwood 8 - looking very good
Pethick 7 - solid
Butters 7 - also solid
Mayo 8 - looks very relaxed, positioning is excellent

Only downside for the back four is a distinct lack of pace which resulted in the penalty, and could have caused further chances

Hart 6 - I don't think he is getting forward enough or committing defenders
Carpenter 6 - unspectacular
Rehman 7 - reasonable but let's not go over the top yet. Keeper should have done better with his goal.
Jones 8 - provided a lot of energy and options going forward
Knight 9 - will prove the difference between us and a lot of teams this season
McPhee - 8 - so much better than Henderson, just needs a little more confidence in front of goal, but that will come with more appearences.

Piercy 6 - looked keen when he came on.

am i being picky when i say that Kuipers really needs to sort out his kicking?

Every time last night he pointed one way and it went the other

Or is this a well worked plot?
