The bioluminescent railroad worm (which was in fact a caterpillar) absolute madness. And the Wilson's bird of paradise clearing all those leaves away just so he could show off...magnificent. How do they even FIND these things to film?

It was seriously thought-provoking stuff that invited the viewer IMHO to ponder, however briefly, on the Intelligent Design vs. Evolutionary Theory. Very easy to be come down, on the face of it, into the Intelligent Design camp. Some of these interacting forms of life seem just too fantastically interdependent to be the result of anything other than a Grand Design. Tho I'm pretty sure that the Evolution Theory camp could equally easily hold up examples of spider monkeys with short arms and plain brown birds of paradise that never made the grade.
