I go alone with Attila on this i always rated "Saxophone" absolutely stunning live.

I saw the Lambrettas supporting the Jam at the Conference Centre, a gig that confirmed to me that the Jam had lost it.

The Piranhas definitely for me. Sneaking in under-age at The Alhambra every Sunday in my Helen McCookerybook-esque trousers - ah the memories.

"Boyfriend" was the one we all went mental to as I remember. A tragic tale of love with a twist. And rarely have there been more truthful poignant lyrics for the adolescent than those written by Bob Grover.

"I don't want my body.
It looks like a reject from an Oxfam poster
Sex is its hobby.
I stick it in the slot like bread in a toaster"

(Changed to "Eating's its hobby" in the Pete Waterman sanitised version - an outrage!!!!!)

Make sure you visit this site as mentioned by our own Tom Hark Preston Park..

Piranhas, Dots and loads more...

No contest.....Piranhas every time. :salute: Come on Bob, John, Dick, Zoot, & Reg....Get that reunion gig sorted now!

"Happy families", "final straw", and " I don't want my body".....Timeless classics.

In my defence, I was left unsupervised.

The 'Tom Hark' tune wasn't written by the Piranhas, it was originally done by someone called something like 'Elias and his zig-zag jive flutes'. Even the Ps used to do it was an instrumental originally.

"Getting beaten up, is part of growing up!"

Lambrettas for me.
They had to change 'Page 3' to 'Another Day Another Girl' because The Sun wouldn't have it, as I recall.
Jez Bird does still play Poison Ivy in his pub sets, though.
That album cover, where they're coming out of a hole in the beach, brilliant!
