Adrian Colunga goes clean through inside the first minute of the 0-0 draw at home to Blackpool.
But he was unable to guide the ball past goalkeeper Joe Lewis.
It proved to be a key moment as the Seagulls were held by their 23rd-placed visitors.
Lewis was extended a bit more by Bruno’s left-foot curler early in the second half.
He made his two best saves from Danny Holla, blocking a volley and tipping a free-kick around the post.
