John Byrne says getting rid of Wilkins was "one of the worst decision this club has ever made", how obvious that was to most football fans, momentum is everything in football.

What a f*ck up, it has proved to be and costly too.

:nono:

John Byrne would say that - Dean Wilkins is a very good friend of his.

I also don't think that's true, we had anarchy at the club while he was in charge, sadly Adams and Slade don't appear to have been able to bring it under control (Slade himself eluded to it after the defeat at Huddersfield).

The warning sides were there in August after that mauling at the Galpharm stadium. And it simply has got worse. I hate this managerial merry-go round we've created at this club, but to state the obvious, something is very very wrong. Either the management and staff have to change, or we have got to put a pretty decent run together, and quickly.

Southgate lost his job at Middlesbrough on the back of their home record. Different scenarios a realise, but I don't think this is going to be allowed to go on much longer, 5 home defeats out of 7 is completely unacceptable.

And won the Champions League, got to another final, a semi-final, led Liverpool to their best ever Premiership campaign and bought in the best striker in the world.
I agree with your points other than that though
Although i'd argue that Liverpool don't even have a strong first 11 these days
Carragher, Insua, Ngog, Babel, Riera are all pretty shocking.
and as for that Lucas... Words fail me.

Benitez's record is a REAL pain in the arse when slagging him off. He has consistently earnt a reprieve through getting the results right when it really counts, to be fair to him. This is a man who won La Liga with Valencia when he was 40, he's not a complete clown (As some would have you believe). But the squad he has built is just disgraceful for a club like Liverpool.

Fair to say he's losing the plot a bit though i reckon!
Selling Alonso and buying a player who's just had ankle surgery, bringing on Voronin under any circumstances and buying awful players such as:
Lucas
Dossena
Nunez
Pellegrino
Voronin
Arbeloa
Carson
Fowler
Riera

To name but a few. I'll think of more later.

To be fair, you can go through the list of players he has signed and just take out Reina, Torres, Alonso, Mascherano, Johnson, Kuyt (who I think is a disgrace of a footballer but who does a job) and Agger... and you can say all his signings have been a bit shit. Andrea Dossena is a £7million left back who is now ignored completely, for a prime example. Unbelievable. Pennant was bought for £6million and then discarded almost immediately! I've never liked Benitez as a man (well, his public persona atleast) and I like him even less as a manager. It's time Liverpool :bigwave: to the chap in my opinion.

But we've digressed somewhat.
