Barnett surely on our radar. 6ft3 and knows where the net is. Also did well at Crawley

I hope we are in for him straight away

What a nice way to treat the club captain who has made 160 appearances for the club, cant imagine his fellow team-mates will be too pleased either. Would be interested to hear what they have actually done.

I wonder what this breach of discipline is. Anyway, I'd be happy to take a gamble on Tyrone Barnett, especially on the cheap. He looked a big presence in the air when they played us the other week. With Bruno and Bridge whipping balls in from deep and CMS and Buckley buzzing around him for the flick ons it could work.

Looking at P'boro forums and the chairman's twitter, seems the players were out getting hammered, smoking, giving it the big one to anyone who would listen, getting kicked out of clubs and generally being dicks on Saturday night after losing to Palace. Two were allegedly arrested as well.

Must be something pretty serious if they're willing to let Barnett go...didnt they only just sign him in the summer for £1million??

Just seen this on SSN, Barnett definitely worth a look.

Seems that the Chairman is not a very happy man at the moment especially with his recent comments. I think there'll be another bust up there soon?

Tyrone Barnett looked very good against us, I would be more than happy to get him in as a alternative option to Craig Mackail-Smith.

Very good buy if we go in for him - loan to buy to get him out of the club perhaps?

Tyrone Barnett? Some of you are still living in the past. We've come a long way since the Bas Savage's and Mark McCammons that we used to acquire. The guy is a League One player at best.

No, he looked a lot better than that when he played against us in a terrible Peterborough team. He made a big impact for them when he first signed, I think he'd be a useful addition both attacking set pieces and defending them. He would improve us as a team, unlike a player like Hoskins for example who offers the same as CMS in a less efficient way.

Would that be because he won every single header against whoever the defender was who was supposed to be marking him?

Only kidding...

Are these really the players that'll help us make the premier league? No, not in my opinion. They would be useful signings but they're not better than we've already got.

That is the point.

We are no longer the club that's happy with scraps from the table, even if many fans still have that mentality.

Why would be interested in players that Peterborough no longer want at their club? Barnett at a push on loan but steer well clear of the others.

He isnt better than what we have got as we have no one with that physical prescence.

Dobbie is coming good which strenghtens our attacking options but we still lack numbers and options

That is very true, we're definitely lacking out and out strikers, as shown when CMS was out.

But that doesn't mean we have to go running to P/boro just to buy a striker who is hardly pulling up trees in the Championship.

Yes I do know what I'm saying.
Yes I am amused by the irony.
