Peterborough were totally anihilated this afternoon. Did we sound loud on the radio ? If so please note that the commentary box was down the other side of the ground about 100 yards away.

I'm still waiting for that elusive penalty award in a league game. Could it be today, and could we also get some own goals from the worst defence in League 1. If the answers to these questions are yes then our attack won't have to score but I'm thinking they will and we'll turn out 3-0 winners!!!!

Come on you Seagulls :bhasign:

Have you got next weeks lottery numbers please?

Yes Gus, Yes Ashley, Yes Brighton, i haven't been this proud to be a Seagull in years. Walking down the steps after the game I was walking behind an old couple holding onto each other to stand up, and the old bloke says "Best Brighton team I've ever seen"...................Couldn;t agree more, difference being he's got 70 years on me! haha :D

Sorry for bouncing a 15 year old match thread 😅 but just thought I'd share something related.

I was at at London Road on this day, in our L1 championship winning season under Gus, and I will never forgot just how incredibly we played that day. It was the day Poyet ball clicked and our performance that day was sublime. Was buzzing after our 3-0 win.

My 10 year old lad is a budding GK, and we attended a one day training event at Loughborough Uni hosted by GKHQ whose part owner is ex pro Joe Lewis. Played for Cardiff, Blackpool, Aberdeen and Peterborough a good few years. Name didn't ring any bells, but during Q&A at the end, he was asked about how he adapted to different styles of opposition and he said (to paraphrase)

I will never forget this one game, when I was at Peterborough in 2010, most League 1 opposition are quite direct, but Brighton came to ours and just blew us off the park. I had never seen anything like it, we couldn't get near them and that game has always lived in my memory as sometimes there is nothing much you can do except pick the ball out of the net.

Was weird hearing it was equally memorable from the Posh GK of that incredible day

Sons face obscured.

That was a memorable afternoon at Peterborough, especially as they had built it up to be their cup final, and I could not believe what I was seeing. At the time two of their players impressed me, one being Joe Lewis. I am just surprised that he never moved on to bigger and better things. The other player was their bloke up front, who ran about a lot
Whatever happened to him?

I was there, fantastic day all round, as was the game at Charlton. I think Boro were up the top of the division with us at the time?

My abiding memory of the Boro players was their forward, who all the guys I went with also noticed, he chased every ball forward from them, even if it was a lost cause, for 90 mins, we laughed as we decided that he must have a Duracell battery.

It was CMS

I still think that's the best I've ever seen us play, relative to the level we were playing at. It genuinely could have been 10-0, they had absolutely no idea how to cope with us.
