I seem to recall it was pretty scary at the Spurs away game, too. Wasn't that the time the barmy army were in our end and took the lot from behind? :p

Luckily, I was in the seats that day, as I'd been taken there by a mates dad who was a Spurs supporter.

For many weeks I have been meaning to create a thread about that season, for me one of our greatest ever. I know it was dissapointing at the end, but the packed Goldstone, the team, the fighting, the excitement to the very end,Wardy at his best, but especially the Blackpool game, I do not remember a better atmos at the Goldstone, it was packed, very hot, the North stand sang from end to end for 90 mins, overspilling into the north east corner and the rest of the ground joining in.It was this game that made me a true albion fan and I remember it like it was yesterday. And what about those magical mid week games in a packed Goldstone under floodlight. Many other great occasions after that of course but for me true great Albion memories. My wish is that we can recreate that atmos soon at Falmer for all the fans who were not as lucky as us to be around in those days and show them what a great club Brighton is in our own stadium (cardiff would have given you some idea)

I remember being annoyed when we signed Peter Ward as I thought it would mean less games for my hero Fred Binney.:dunce:
