I understand that there is a video of Wardy's best goals and career highlights. Does anyone have a copy pse? If so, could they pse post the full title of the video and, if possible, details of who produced it and the serial number. Can't seem to find it in the shops or on Amazon.co.uk I keep telling my nephew how good Wardy was but he doesn't believe me. Just wanna give him the proof and watch him squirm a bit.

Thanks to anyone that can help.

:D

Wardy - An Albion Legend

Should be in the club shop

Tried them a while ago Turkey. Lady said that the shop no longer stocked the video and couldn't tell me where I could get a copy. Thanks anyway.

I have a copy. It's well worth a watch. Plenty of footage about how he started out, plenty of Albion goals, and some hilarious insight into Brian Clough.

I got a 2 copies a couple of years back from the club shop, they were signed by the man himself when I got them. Havent watched it for a while but remember being slightly disappointed with the lack of footage on it. Suppose it was only to be expected back in the 70's, wasnt as if sky had 200 cameras at each match. :(

The video coverage does not do justice to Wardy. Just glimpses of his magic but it does give you a taste of just how good he was.

Still reckon that in 30 years of watching the Albion he was the most exciting player that I have seen in the stripes. You had to be there to understand how the stadium buzzed with excitement when he received the ball 30 yards out and started to run at the defence. Wonderful memories.

Agreed Icy. I've got the video but I've only watched it a couple of times as it was very disappointing. It doesn't even show all the goals that were televised, and has been mentioned so many of Wardies goals weren't even captured on film.

Seconded Icy. I've got it as well and was disappointed with the lack of action.

You're right about the buzz though, I don't think BZ ever had the same effect on Brighton crowds as Wardy did - although that could be because he was playing at Withdean rather than a Goldstone with 20.000 people.

Does anyone remember the goal he scored, in December 79, when he ghosted past several Man City players, on a muddy (and sandy) Goldstone pitch, then slotted the ball under Joe Corrigan? The game featured on Southern Soccer the following day. For me, that was his best goal for Albion.
