I enjoyed the Tony Christie music at the beginning most of all. Although he's a surprisingly good dancer for a big lad.

I think it is the 24-40 yr olds who love hom coz of the material he uses is all from that age group. He will I'm sure have a lot more in store for the future!

Just another Fat Northener who will have been telling Mother InLaw jokes in Working Mens clubs had he not got lucky.

I love comedy, just find him very average.

peter Kay is one of the best comedians the country has EVER seen.

has produced 2 quality series of phoenix nights.

Lee evens is funny and in my opinon would come a close 2nd

I remember him on the Sunday Show ,he was class then.

That's a bit condescending mate. I'm 24 and I'd say I understand every one of his gags, and some of it I find pretty funny. I just don't think he's the comic genius that some people do.

The show last night was good in parts, the Hobnob biscuit bit being the best, but he does rely a lot on running jokes (the drink, the phone, Tenerife being "over there") plus a bit of regurgitated Phoenix Nights material to get a few cheap laughs.

Bit over rated in my opinion.

I also think its a case of your upbringing, if you had a so called normal family life you relate to the jokes alot better.

its like the royale family, i love it but have a mate who just used to live with his mum ,he hated it as i dont think he could relate to it and find it funny

I don't go over the top about Peter Kay but anything he does is well worth seeing - if you see a video of his series That Peter Kay Thing, BUY IT!! They say Ronnie Barker was a superb comedy chaacter actor, well I reckon he's on a par, what with his observations 'n' all, y'know?
