I don’t have one myself but people on my family do, I think they are a bit of fun.

I do think it is one of the only things yanks do better than us, they can choose what they want rather than from a pre selected list of almost words.

The law should be changed so I can drive up the Amex in “PBOBE OUT”.

The poor people’s saying to make them feel better?
And for those who can’t drive!

You do need a half decent car to put a personalised number plate on as well, or a relevant to the plate works van.

A Honda Jazz (biddy car) or a chaved up Astra don’t really cut it :lolol:

This thread has the feel of music snobbery at times.

My wife has a BHA plate that she inherited from her Dad when he suddenly passed away last year, so it’s very personal for her as she’s still heavily grieving.

I had no plans to get a cherished plate myself but was gifted one for my birthday a few years so and I love it.
The first two letters on mine are FA, and my mum (who never ever swears) jokingly enquired if it stood for F*ck*ng Ar*eh*le. 😂

I’d like to think I’m not that kind of person, but back to the point, none of this makes us twats.

Really sad game
ECM (car transporters, you've seen them everywhere), all their transporters have personalised number plates ECM***. Whilst traveling the country my wife and I play the 'spot the ECM' game, writing down every new number plate we see.
On a solo away trip I saw ECM1 on a rather expensive car and the wife doesn't believe me. Must have been the boss.

My brother got one when we were in the Championship for a reasonable amount.

He has looked up how much it would be worth now, and it is considerably more.

A prime example, if ever there was, to confirm that a fool and his money are easily parted ...
I have one and love it and never tell my friends until they notice and they all have said it's cool. It's a bit of fun I don't know why people have such an issue. It cost me less than a new phone. Most of those in disagreement are the types who have to hide it from the Mrs that they have a season ticket and lucky if they get a two pint weekly beer allowance. 😆

In California it was any 7 letters/numbers plus either one full space or two half spaces (also a variety of symbols, which took up a character, but did not count toward uniqueness), as well as a choice of background images, for $40 a year. That’s where I started on vanity plates

I’ve got one, had it for over 15 years, it’s a bha plate and been on 5 cars (so far). Bought my gf one as a Christmas present similar to mine just got E instead of S at the beginning. Neither were particularly expensive although mines been valued at much more than it cost
