During the day, strong with no sugar.

I like to kick off the day with a nice Earl Grey with Bovril on toast

Drive to Devon with good looking Bint. Then find a Cream tea place with home made strawberry jam, local clotted cream and a selection of home made cakes. The tea will come in a teapot and poured into bone china cups milk first with one sugar and well brewed. If this takes place under a shady tree in a sunlight garden, then you have found your perfect Tea.
Not if it's got sugar in it you haven't.

The sugar in tea binfest is about to kick off.

Maggies death, god, cycling, immigration etc etc will all pale into insignificance when this one goes.

Nice cup of Earl Grey morning, noon or night will do nicely.

Anyone who puts sugar in tea should be strapped to a gurney and force-fed sugar from an overhanging tube pouring it into their mouths until they suffocate. The ignorant, uncouth wankers!

Milk first?? How common.
Milk first is how it should be done. And that means milk in the cup/mug, with tea brewed in a pot, and then poured in - not teabag into cold milk.

When you add milk to a hot mug of tea, the milk rapidly heats up, as with UHT milk, and it changes the taste of it. If you brew the tea first, 1) it's slightly cooled down by the time it's ready, and 2) you start adding a bit of tea to the milk, so the milk heats more slowly and never gets quite as hot. It gives a creamier taste, and you don't need as much milk.

People who don't have sugar in their tea are grey joyless dullards who don't deserve to breathe the air that is wasted in their lungs.

"two sugars darlin'!"

You're all wrong. Pure Assam tea, water then add half-fat milk and leave for 3 minutes. A limp stir then remove bag, no squeezing. The tea should be the colour of those gold wrapped toffee discs in Quality St. It will take some practise to get the milk amount right. Add Kitkat, job done.

Loose leaf from a pot served with stilton and water biscuits. Chew crackers until your mouth gets proper dry then refresh with a lovely gulp of tea from a (and I'm quite specific about this) cup with a white interior.
