WSU, just below the seagull.
My kids have been on the pc during the course of the day, and when i log into nsc or anything my text is huge, and like i say i haven't a clue how to get it back to normal size.

Help a :dunce: please.

Go into view at the top and there is an option for text size, that should sort it out once you pick which size you want.

OK, if we are all so clever with PC problems (and I don't mean the Police or race relations), I have no sound. I have tried checking things like volume control and the wizard thing, but nothing works. What can I do now, apart from put it back in its box and return it to PC World?

Well, details are neede to solve the problem but if you've recently bought it from PC world then they should fix gratis. If not advise Op system, computer name/type etc.#

I assume you have checked that you have the speakers pluged in the correct socket?

Try using a different set of speakers or headphones.

If still no luck it might be the soundcard.

Yes, checked the speakers (both plug in and the ones on the monitor), the system says that the soundcard is working.

Do I need a disk to install/uninstall?

I know this sounds silly but are the leads in the right holes on the soundcard?? they are usually colour coded nowadays.
Otherwise it's possibly loose/disconnected cables or defective soundcard/ software...

Yes, I had thought of that already, when you look at the properties of the soundcard it says that it is working properly. That leads me to believe that it might be something more serious, like a software fault.

It is about 3 months old, so definitely under warranty.

Go Start, Control Panel, Sounds and Audio Devices then check 'Device Volume' and ensure the 'Mute' isn't checked.

Would suggest that if the System, Hardware says that the sound card is functioning.

PM me if that doesn't work.
