I think I might have a 'nasty' of some description

I run Norton Internet Security with live updates enabled (although I've received no updates in the last week or so)

I've run the freeware adaware

but 'tinternet seems VERY sluggish

is there anything else I should have?

I recently installed 'real player' and have had a few radio stations playing - could this be the source of my woes?

Realplayer is well known for the programs it installs that cause memory problems. Check what programs are running in memory by pressing Ctrl-Alt-Del and write down. Then go to wwww.answersthatwork.com and click on Task List. Then look alphabetically thru to see what NOT to remove and what you can safely remove!
