Reboot the computer? or take it to PC World?
ive given up with malware in my computer. still in my pc, but it is isolated for the time being as winfixer is a bugger to move.

and no way will i send my pc to pc world

and MYOB, surely you can do that stuff yourself now? You can buy extra hardware and DIY if you know how.

Of course I f***ing can, but the majority of people can't. I was building my own boxes before you knew what Brighton & Hove Albion was.

Oh, and WHY did you install WinFixer? :dunce:

Norton won't protect a computer if you fire a shotgun at it!

Spybot & Adaware are both free. Norton is a chocolate teapot.

Make your choice.

If they are free can you send me the links via a PM as I downloaded stuff that required payment.

Doh ! I did on my orginal post on this thread ! www.download.com.

PM if that does solve it.

I also would echo MYOB's sentiments about PC World, I was there a few days ago as I was 'helping' somebody and frankly was not at all impressed. Best place to buy (and the cheapest) www.scan.co.uk. However, I have Norton but no Spyware ......

Cheapest?!?!? My PC set me back £1700 14 months ago. OK, so it's still top-end now, and the Graphics card alone added £300 to the price.

Brilliant customer sales though. Had a few things go wrong after 51 weeks, and they took it back and fixed it. New CPU, Cooler, and Fans throughout at no charge.

I'd be very surprised if anybody gave you a better price than Scan. As it is you rightly say that their after sales service is very good totally unlike say, PC World.
