Paul Watson

Is it just me (having read some other threads it probably is) or has Watson come back from injury with an uncharacteristic ability to play football? I thought he had quite a good game yesterday, his distribution was quite good, but more importantly he seems to have learnt how to tackle.

I have been whinging about him for the past 18 months, feeling that he has tried hard but not delivered, but must commend him on yesterday. Hopefully he can carry it on. Only the rest of the team to sort out now!.......

He played better than I thought he would but I can't say that I had high hopes. Watto is not the player he was 2-3 seasons ago...sadly.

Hove, f***ing ACTUALLY.
I thought he played quite well, but like a good few others I really dont think he cuts it at this level anymore.

Why was Hinshelwood dropped ? I think consistantly he has been in our top 4 playes all season, not quite sure why he took the token 'lets change things around' dropping, when Jones has been consistantly poor, and Carpenter is clearly out of his depth at this level anymore.

Maybe he is not in with the 'in crowd'.

You can probably view Mayo and Hart in the same light as well. They have both looked extremely ordinary this season.

Mayo has recently gone off the boil after a fairly solid start, and Hart still often shows us what he can do.

In OGH's defence it must be fairly frustrating watching Jones constantly giving the ball away when you are in a good position screaming for a pass !!

Hinshelwood has been a bit poor over the last few games and hsould've been sent off v B'mouth - so I guess he needed to be 'rested' to regain his focus. I thought Watson was very good and my 2nd best player on the pitch just behind McPhee.

Hinsh was extremely poor against Brentford, so needed to be dropped. I thought Watto did ok on Saturday and unlike most of the team actually managed to pass it to a Brighton player most of the time.
