Was a big McCartney/Wings fan in the mid-70sish. Loved Band on the Run, Red Rose Speedway and Venus and Mars at the time. They all sound very dated now. If any, Venus & Mars has probably lasted best.
He lost me forever at Mull of Kintyre.
When I took my copy of Ram to a 2nd hand record store in the late 70s, the store owner rolled his eyes and said: Oh Christ, not another one."
He had more people dumping Ram on him than any other record apparently. (I'm pretty sure George Harrison's Extra Texture and Ringo's Blast From Your Past would have pushed it close however.)
