Dont think he is leaving (YET). Norwich have given Burnley permission to talk to Lambert (SSN).

Not sure why he would leave Norwich for Burnley.....possibly a Prem vacancy might be coming up soon.

bizarre but then money often talks and potentially they are probably a bigger (or at least more sustainable) club

Burnley? I'm sure when they got promoted previously they were on TV saying it was the smallest town (by population) ever to host a Premier League club. Historically they probably have more than Norwich, as they were League founder members and used to win titles back when Queen Victoria was around, but that doesn't mean a lot now, and I cannot for the life of me see what they have that Norwich don't.

A very bizarre move if he goes.

Not quite that long ago. When I started watching football in the mid-60s Burnley were a big team, probably the equivalent of Arsenal now as they had a very strong youth policy and had last won the league about five years before.

I agree it's a strange move for Lambert, perhaps Delia got pissed up and had a row with him.

Been confirmed its Burnley, as I posted earlier rumour had it he had been approached, but by West Ham. He cant possibly go to Burnley unless they blow their parachute payment on him. Is the parachute payment 1 or 2 years ?? I honestly believe that payment should be abolished, make clubs cut their cloth accordingly...mmmm

They were saying on 5 Live the other day that it's because Lambert's family live in the Burnley area and he wants to be closer to them.

I agree but it wont happen because the clubs that if affects are the ones who have to vote for or against it. Apart from those at the bottom others will think it could be us next season the only ones who wouldnt are probably the top 8 clubs.

Can anyone spot the hypocrisy from Norwich?

BBC Sport - Football - Norwich reject Burnley approach for boss Paul Lambert
"The club will fight tooth and nail to retain the services of Paul Lambert and his team during this critical period of the season and whilst they remain employed under a long-term contract," continued the Canaries' statement.

BBC SPORT | Football | My Club | N | Norwich | Norwich appoint Lambert as boss
Colchester chief executive Steve Bradshaw has confirmed the club are seeking compensation for Lambert's departure.
"We believe there has been a breach of League regulation 20 and so unless compensation can be agreed we will go to tribunal.
"We are six figures apart in terms of compensation."
