Could be difficult to move some of them on.
I really wish relegation clauses were in all players' contracts. As a result players would be motivated to do well, or take the hit.
The media often mention that such clauses are common in player contracts.

It's the perfect solution.
Players who are on a big salary know they have to play well to maintain their income. Clubs who are relegated know they will be able to afford to pay wages even with significantly less TV money.
PFA boss Gordon Taylor will cry foul.
