They're only waving their scarves about to proove they're not nicking hubcaps.:)
Look closer....some of them are false arms and they are actually pickpocketing those around them....:lolol: Oldest trick in the book.

I was gven a golf lesson once by a Scouser and he said i was lifting my head...."keep your head down" he said.......when i looked up my f***ing clubs were gone......

Stand up holding a scarf aloft for GOSBTS and the silly codgers behind your start telling you to sit down and keep quiet as you are ruining their enjoyment.

Then the pro McGhee woman says at 4-0 down, 'jeepers creepers, but is OK, Mark will sort it out'.

I wouldn't believe it but for the fact I've seen it on Brownlow Hill in Liverpool. About 10 years ago I saw a strangley attired man talking animatedly to a passer by. I stopped for a look and noticed he had a false arm and was trying to distract the poor mug he'd collared.

Ah, right. I'm sure I remember many a scarf waving and holding aloft moment on the north stand. Obviously didn't have quite the same effect as the kop, but hey ho.

Do you remember when we first played Liverpool at the Goldstone? The Liverpool fans let out a huge laugh when the scarves in the North came out as we sung 'Never walk alone'.

Absolutely right mate.

After watching euro games this year, a lot of the fans ( especially the Spanish) 'spin' their scarves. I always thought this looked really impressive.

We used to do the same in the north stand, while singing 'Que Sera Sera'.

Another thing....pre kick off 'huddles', by the team. Personally, I think its bollox.

The best pre kick off I've seen the Albion do, was at Reading a few seasons ago. While the plastic muppets were having their 'huddle', the whole team just stood the length ot half way line, jumping up & down. They looked very intimidating.

Aye. If they actually make a difference to the team, fair enough, but to me they always look like they should be shouting 'cooomiiiiiiing, ready or nooooot' when they break apart....

 Was gonna say the same. Standing on the Kop is an incredible experience, done it a few times and it's hard to beat for atmosphere.
agreed - made two trips in October '87 (Barnes, Beardsley, etc) and was lucky enough to see great performances in which Liverpool put 4 goals past both QPR and Pompey...

packed out by 1.30pm on both occasions, chose to stand in the middle section for the full "baying" / "swaying" experience, and I'll never forget the atmosphere created when the opposing teams came out to walk on the pitch before the game (would even shame the Madjeski...)

great thing to have on the list of things to have done at least once - beats bungee jumping or "swimming with dolphins"...

Do they still play sussex by the sea at withdean then? I sit in the south stand and cant recall ever hearing it.

Every time the team come out is a bit annoying, especially when we were 3-0 down to Stoke, but that did make me laugh so what can you do?

You can have all the money, league wins etc Chelsea you will never get emotion or support that night of the Champions League Semi at Anfield.
Lets see Chelsea go 17 years without winning a league and see where the chav's go?
WALK ON,WALK ON.
P.S The real Chelsea fans who were there before "moneybags"
etc are a good loyal set of blokes as I found out when going to a
few away games in the 1980's with a mate who supported them it's the arrogant, flash, fake present day one I can't stand.

Absolutely  I moved up there in 1983, shortly after the Cup Final, and went on and off over the next seven years or so. Amazing experience, especially as a young teenager
