In many places parking restrictions do not apply on single yellow lines ona bank holiday but do on double yellow lines.

Thanks, how does one know which places allow this ? is it displayed on the square yellow signs ?

Yeah, wherever there are parking restrictions there will always be a clearly displayed sign, if it isnt clearly shown and you get a ticket then you have a good case fr it to be overturned.

Bank holidays arent included in the paking restrictions unless it says so on the road signs.

Thats the wrong way round. Parking restrictions denoted by a single line apply on the days shown on the sign. If that sign says Monday to Saturday then Bank Holiday Mondays are included unless stated otherwise.

bank holiday parking - Brighton Hove City Council says exactly that.

Just park legally and you have no worries.

I agree. Park legally and the traffic wardens will never touch you in principal, but the reality in this town is quite,quite different.

'no restrictions' probably a myth- people thinking no staff would be on..

i would have thought a better PR man would get the council /l NCP spaces FREE, for a day..?

i mean, its not like they're short of cash..?
