West Ham boss Alan Pardew is angry with Spurs after they went public about an enquiry for striker Bobby Zamora.
Hammers striker Jermain Defoe was mentioned in a swap involving Zamora.

West Ham's enquiry was revealed by Spurs caretaker boss David Pleat, and Pardew said: "If he has announced that publicly then I am a bit disappointed but I did not make a bid for him.

"The only 'enquiry' I made about Zamora was that we had a discussion about him and it was no more than that."

Pardew claimed it was "a bit like we discussed Gary Doherty and a few other players that perhaps are not regulars at Spurs.

"I am always discussing players with all managers. I want to know if players are in their plans or not - and it was purely that," he told the club's official website.

Saw Alan Pardew at an event the other week. My brother, a Barnet fan and fuelled by a few beers, bawled: "Pardew - you should be back at Barnet!"
Pardew replied: "Actually, the way things are going, I probably soon will be."

I remember actually seeing him play for Spurs - when we took on a load of players on loan to "compete" in the first Inter-toto Cup. And achieved a club record by losing 8-0 to Cologne.
