In response to a link on another thread, I have just spent a few minutes browsing the Palarse message board. I have to say I have never read such a load of crap in my entire life.

Most clubs have a rivalry with another nearby club but I have never come accross a club that is so hated and despised by so many others.

They even have the nerve to slag off the fine City of Brighton! Oh yeah, Croydon is so well known for being cool and trendy! I wouldn't live in Croydon if I was paid to.

just done the very same thing myself, i'm just amazed that so many pikeys have access to the net from their caravans these days.

Nearly everyone I know dislikes Palarse. All the London teams hate them, Pompey hate them (although Pompey are my no.2 hated team). They just have this incredible ability to wind people up.

In reality I'm sure some of their fans are very nice (if a little disturbed), but last week I was in an Indie club in Southampton and 2 skinheads turned up, eyeballing everyone, took their tops off on the dance floor to reveal Palarse tatoos which they repeatedly pointed at. This was shortly before they tried to start fighting people!

I think the Man Ure thing is different. Most other clubs hate Man Ure because of their success, attempt at global domination and hanger on fans. Palace on the other hand are pure and simply scum!

Charlton fans for example, only live a short distance away yet are respected and even quite liked by most rival fans. I would love to see Brighton model ourselves on the Charlton model. Their succes has been achieved the hard way and they have been through the hard times very much like we have. If we could rise from the ashes as they have done that would be fantastic.

i've always had a soft spot for Charlton because they represent the dream for clubs like us. Just hope they can hang on to Curbs...
