Out of interest to the Palace fans on here, what is going on with your keepers? Last season you had that Nico Vaesen on loan from Birmingham, was that because you did not replace Clarke and Kolinko or were the ones at the club that bad? Vaeson has always seemed a decent keeper, who is not playing for the Blues, so why did you not sign him? It seems this year Dowie has gone and bought the first player that resembled a keeper without looking to see if they were any good.

We had Cedric Berthelin who hadn`t had much first team football and Lance cronin who is only a youngster with no experience in the first team.Uncle Buck said:

Time will tell. We did not sign Vassen because he was happy to fight for his place at brum and did not want to up sticks.

It does seem that you have been stitched up with Speroni, but surely there must have been better keepers out there.

It seems a bit odd that you have not owned an established keeper for a couple of seasons now.
we've got Kiraly, hes quality. international and UEFA cup experience. plus played about 6 seasons or more in the Bundesliga with Hertha Berlin. Kiraly made such a difference against Villa and the defence were confident in him. i think Speroni is a fantastic shot stopper but lack confidence and needs to work on his catching.
