This must sound like heresy, but in the past few months I've developped a strange sympathy for Palace - their promotion was very similar to ours, making it through the play-off semis when they shouldn't have, and finding themselves in a league where to be honest they shouldn't really survive. They also have a gifted manager who knows what he's doing. I'm pretty convinced that Palace are looking at this season in the Premiership as a building block for longer term survival in the top league from 2006/07 onwards - if they're relegated, there's no chance that Dowie will get the sack (same goes for McGhee).

I might agree with you balloonboy if it didn't make me so

it would be nice for one of the 3 clubs who went up last year to stay up

I think you'll find that will be West Brom (who made sure their 2002/03 season was just a part of the preparation for ensuring they stayed in the top division come 2004/05)

And before they signed for Palace I had heard of at least three of them...

Seriously, of all those players I think only Ventola and Kolkka are of Premiership standard. Torghelle, Kaviedes and Sorrondo might be but I'd never actually heard of them. Flashy foreign names though, what will happen to them when you are relegated?

we would be left with a very strong division 1 side ready to push for promotion again:eek:

True, ud be one of the favourites if you keep your manager. but can you afford to keep all those players with the parachute payments?

zamora was young and had potential. i think andrews is about 25-26 from what he says.
