In fairness their first post was Feb 24. This is their second post.
They're first post claiming that it was a Palace fan lamping a Brighton fan in a video and not the other round.

So why is the cup final today and not the usual season closer?

Apparently it’s so the playoffs can happen on the bank holiday weekend and because all the rounds up to and including the QFs have been exclusively FA Cup weekends (ie no Premier League fixtures). This has meant the PL is finishing later than normal too so to accommodate the FA Cup Final it’s being played before the end of the season.

Thanks.

Feels odd but I guess it makes some sense as this game affects European qualification..be weird to finish the season in 8th and not know what this means.

That’s what happened to Chelsea and Newcastle last season. Chelsea dropped into the Conference and Newcastle lost out all together due to United winning the Cup. Had City won then Chelsea would have been in the Europa League and Newcastle the Conference.
