So when we were 7 places above Palace, it didn't matter because they won at the Amex....

But now they're above us, it matters...

Of course it matters now - you didn't beat us!

Last season you weren't in the top 6 and you didn't beat us in a derby. We said that because your season amounted to nothing, it didn't matter that you were above us. Neither of us did anything in the league, but we beat you in the derby. This time around we've beaten you 3-0 and are well on the way to promotion.

Surely even you can see the difference? :lolol:

Surely then, as its only a loan now, if he started banging them in, could we not just take him back at the end of the loan, and sell to the highest bidder?

Nope. He signs a permanent 2 year deal on July 1st. Fee agreed, no recall.

Palace moving the goalposts, who'd have thought it?

CPFC2010 have themselves stated it's a 93 day emergency loan to start with. Recall clauses cannot be written out of emergency loans, so that has to be a gentleman's agreement. Either way 93 days after Jan 31st he is back to being a Brighton player, until July 1st.

A bit like them saying the 17th place in the final table was nowhere near the relegation zone and in fact was mid table

If you go up, we will see whether you can avoid the fate that befell you after each of your last two promotions to the Premier League, by not coming straight back down, bankrupt.

Our season did not amount to nothing. It was a season of consolidation as we adjusted to life back in the Championship in our new stadium. You would have settled for such a season had you struggled as we had, on and off the field, in recent years. If this season turns out to be much the same then so be it. I would rather be where we are, all things considered, than where you are.

It is rather too early in the season to be crowing about being "well on the way to promotion".

Isnt the rule that a player cannot play against their parent club a standard rule but I thought that Jake Robinson overcome it for Torquay some way or another..

Gary Dicker played for us against Stockport in Slade's Great Escape finale I think.

Hopefully you'll cut short Roland Bergkamp's prolific spell at VVV and we can take him off your hands too.

We're after Groningen's Virgil Van Dijk so Bergkamp maybe on the move to the Greens in a cash/player deal.

This is one of the best Palace threads for ages, and the number that you lot start, thats up against a lot of competition. Love the way the worlds foremost expert on everything - Blue Valkyrie - starts off slagging the Palace fans for being clueless when its obvious no-one apart from him  has the slightest idea. Then all the greatest hits come out afterwards, a quick rendition of how shit our ground is, that they finished higher than us FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 30 YEARS (you missed that bit out) last season, a new one of how when FFS plays in front of 30k fans (well for 75 mins anyway) and then goes back to Selhurst he'll pine for the Amex. Isnt that kind of like your really fit bird realising shes been downgrading all these years and finally dumping you for someone way more attractive, and you show her a big wadge of cash to tempt her back because you really have no clue what it is she craves... ? The best one, which was clearly just a wind up, was that FFS 'some say' wants to return. Yeah right, so does that fit bird mate...

You'll lose again on March 17th, and you all know it, it wont even matter what the form is running up to it, because 'new Brighton' always bottle it. You wont make the play-offs, which you know too really, so the Dobbie question becomes moot (is he pining for a return too ?) so the only thing you have left is praying we dont make the top 2, or blow it in the play-offs. Hey you never know, you might get lucky there. But if you dont, will you still think FFS wants to play for you rather than in the premier league ? As the world leaders in delusions of grandeur, I guess you will !
