apparently the Croydon slums are officially a valued part of our great capital city... yeah, right

Well, to be totally factual, the wannabe cockerknees are a London Borough but the pay their Council Tax to Croydon Council (THe London Borough of). Apparently the rest of Surrey wishes to disassociate itself from Chavdon.

I love your posts about our beloved Albion and Sussex CCC.

But remember I live in Croydon and the slashy areas are on a par with 'hawke and 'scoombe. In addition I do not use the 'pink pound'

:albion2:
no excuse... :lolol: I learnt about the "Croydon slums" in the North Stand c.1978 and I'm not going to change my mind now just because there's been some sort of partially successful clearance/regeneration programme...

I learnt about 'Hawke and 'Scoombe from the rucks in Brighton most Saturday nights in 1978...

From my recollection the NS didn't sing about Croydon slums..more ididly silly songs...

it mainly concerned the slum dwellers' foraging habits and their thoughts on discovering that the available sustenance was a deceased feline...

 understood.

CarWash lives in the [parts where £500,000 gets you a 3 bed mid terrace!!!

Great result keeps us in contention although I am hoping we stay in the championship as our youngsters we shine next season, Shades of Sansom and Hilaire coming through the ranks.

For that you get an invite to one of my crackling summer barbies. Plenty of room to park in the grounds. I also invite blokie but he doesn't do BBQ's.
