Not seen any mentions of this but there's an intriguing game going on at Lord's - the first English test match not involving an England team for nearly 100 years.

Australia 253 all out and Pakistan 21-1 - by all accounts the wicket is doing something so there should be a result here

What's most amazing is that 15,000 people were watching yesterday - that's astonishing for a game involving two away teams, on a grey drizzly day in term-time on a weekday.

Its a home game isn't it for all the second-generation Pakistani community here. I imagine they formed a large % of the crowd.

What were the prices like? - you don't get THAT many chances to watch Australia in a test match.

According to the BBC, Australian fans greatly outnumber Pakistani ones - it will be different at Headingley though.

£30 for adults and £5 for u16s (£12 and £0 after 4pm).

Sensibly priced for a change.

If you lived locally, and had a kid interested in cricket, you would be STUPID, if you did NOT take them along after school. £12 for potentially 2.5 hours of Test cricket, at the best ground in the world.

The tickets for me and my lad for the T20 v Australia at the Rose Bowl last month, were £120. Scandalous.

[we were given them free]

i was there yesterday, didn`t seem like 15,000 more like 5,000.

From the BBC

"In London, the first neutral Test at Lord's since 1912 began, and a healthy crowd of nearly 15,000 turned up to watch Australia take on Pakistan"

Some reporter on Radio 5 Live was saying he'd heard if this test goes well there might be moves to host Pakistan vs India. I'm sure the police will be ecstatic...

Weren`t that many Pakistani`s there, most were English and the rest seemed to be Aussies and Pakistani`s. I thought it would be swamped by the Pakistani`s after the amount that went to the 20/20 games last week.

As HAtterlovesbrighton says, one day cricket is more popular than test cricket in Pakistan. LAst week's games were at Edgbaston which has a big Pakistani community close by, Lord's doesn't. I think we'll see more of a presence at Headingley

118-7 now

I just knew Aus would get a first innings lead - but I thought it would be about 50ish

Afridi scored 32 runs off 15 balls...in a test match
