I don’t know why, but this really really really upsets me!!

What upsets me is food snobbery.

At least over here we can use real saffron rather than that fluorescent additive I've seen routinely used in Spain, which is a mostly a combination of the cheap ingredients turmeric and bay.

If a paella could guide you to the fire exit in the case of a power cut, I walk right past it.

Traditional Catalan Paella is made with rabbit.

Traditional Valencian paella was made with water vole (at least that’s what the locals tell you)

Living in Mallorca we would have a 'friends' gathering once a month in a small restaurant. Paella included Rabbit.
Back home we've a 60cm paella dish we use on the fire pit. That features too much money at a local fishmongers. If it swam it's in there.
