Well, thats Poker I suppose.
Theres no justice in the game - a fool with a mint hand will still beat a master with an iffy one. Thats half the attraction - even a twat like me stands to make some cash, just by being semi-savvy.

$1/10 player - 8th.
$2/20 player - 1st (won $20)
$10/5 player - 3rd (won $10 stake back)
$2/20 player - ongoing 9 players left, currently 3rd.

I wasn't too clever last night. My $87 has whittled down to $84, although that was a recovery of sorts as I was down to about $75 at one point. Back in the $80's now though, next target is busting that $90 barrier, then hopefully the ton-up.

I still haven't given the online thing a go yet. Not really sure if i wanna play against faceless people. Haveplayed for fun online, but not for real cash.

I do play chip games for £2 a go at work everyday. Always 4 or 5 per game and i'm currently £90 up this month

might sign up in that case. but what are the people you play against like, bozza? i've heard a lot of internet poker rooms are full of professionals. i'm not bad but for someone who really knows how to play i'll be an easy target!

There's not a lot of professionals out there. Just play small, never play until you get a good hand (see Hampshire's guide earlier on this thread) and you'll be fine...
