I played it back frame by frame and looks to me like McShane heads it DOWN towards to goal, but it hits the palace player (maybe on the head or back) and flies into the roof of the net.

it's a bit grainy but his right foot's just slightly over the line and his left foot definitely is.

I think what some people are saying is that Boyce headed it in not McShane.

MShane said he touched it and he is higher than Boyce in that photo.

Well he would say that, wouldn't he? Instant legend status is attained and its not as if Boyce is going to own up to it.

McShane looks like if he's touched it he's headed it downwards, but he's so off balance you can't see how he could have got enough loop and power to make the ball travel up and over the way it did.

Also, some of the Albion players look slightly sheepish as though they know it's not McShane's goal - it has a touch of an OG reaction from both teams about it.

I don't think we'll ever really know for sure, but I'm happy McShane's been credited cos that was one of the great solo Albion performances of recent times.
