Vassell's good to bring on with 20mins to go as he's quick, the tired defenders at that point will be scared.
Owen needs a goal to lift his confidence thats all, he's still worthy of a starting place as he can just get a goal from nothing...or at least he used to be able too!

Well put it like this Owen has bailed England out on more than one occasion. The French marked him out of the game, but it gave Rooney more space. The Swiss now have to decide how to deal with the 2 of them

owen remains the only proven world class striker we have (i know rooney is class, but he's only been around ten minutes) and he simply has to play.

as mentioned earlier in this thread, he just needs service. against the french he was pretty anonymous because we could hardly get hold of the ball, let alone provide him with through balls, crosses etc.
