hmm its always going to be a rumour untill it becomes reality. i cant see it happening but stranger things have happened. maybe after his goal today sir alex might even keep him for another season... i'd rather we signed a player who can play at least 40+ games suppose to owen who will struggle to play over half.

I think the point he lives in Cheshire is the biggest clue to this rumour.. he has many millions in the bank.. into his horses and aint gonna leave it for us.. this rumour started on NCS and has absolutely zero chance of happening.. think about it.

Has to be complete and utter rubbish imo... too close to the end of his career to leave the NW area and all his local interests. I wouldn't mind a pay as you play deal though but even then, would it be worth all the hassle and hype from our supporters giving it all the more bigun? Just imagine all the GM crap that would follow. "we only let you go to CP coz we had a big name lined up"
