After the numerous threads slating Owen, what's the betting he scores the winner tonight? I for one hope so, as I still rate him as one of the best around!

Have to disagree that he got slated, he had a shit game and that's a fact that was pointed out.

As one of two strikers playing against a weak team it won't be a suprise to see him score.

I have seen quite a few posts saying he should be dropped etc...I also don't think Swizerland are a 'weak' side. They are one of the best sixteen in Europe and therefore a decent side. Lets not think tonight is going to be easy.

At the end of the day, the choice is Owen, Rooney, Heskey or Vassell.

I don't think Vassell or Heskey would EVER get picked ahead of Owen and rightly so.

Owen is class and has proved it time after time by rescueing us on numerous occasions when we needed a goal.

Ive no doubt he wont let us down.
