Our fantastic rivalry...

Got something to say or just want fewer pesky ads? Join us... 😊

We had a chairman who just wanted to save the club despite us not having a ground or any saleable players and he did it and now we have Falmer on the horizion.
So you won't get any f***ing sympathy here, if your consortium really cared they would buy the club and play anywhere like we did unless they are in it for the money and you'll be in administration for the THIRD time in a couple of years.

And this is why you are a know nothing.
If this consortium promise the earth and let their hearts rule their heads then the likelihood is we will go into admin a few years down the line.
These new blokes are hard nosed businessmen who won't bullshit and lie which is what we've been lumbered with for too long.
I think you don't realise that it's not the soul of our club or our fans that put us in the shit.
And by the way, I never asked for your sympathy. You can work your sympathy up your bollocks!

Rich greedy men playing their silly greedy games, let's hope someone isn't overplaying their hand
If the worst happens I fully expect that several AFC Crystal Palaces will try to appear, its just a matter of which one will emerge dominant
Solution to this problem always has resolved around the ownership of the ground, now is not the time to comment on how taxpayers are paying for a new west ham ground (olympic stadium) whilst the solution to CPFC's problem gets ignored (national sports centre at crystal palace )
Palace fans will keep the faith through adversity as Charlton & Brighton did before them

spot on. You will have someone to support and will be competitive at whatever level you (may) end up at. That is what supporting a club is all about; not what level your club may be at.

You never know, if palace do go uner the re-birth may become a cause-celeb and become a far more fashionable and high profile (ultimately) existence than you've had.

I totally agree with you, but equally I do think it's unreasonable to expect a deal that excludes the one tangible asset they have.

As has been said, this deadline needed to be put in place, in order to force the issue.

Quite so, I think this is a bit of brinkmanship by the consortium, at the end of the day if they are the fans they say they are they will accept Lloyds' terms as they don't seem to be unreasonable. Fact is Palace as an organisation put themselves in this mess so why should these investors get a deal that suits them and not Lloyds (who, at the end of the day, we taxpayers own).

Exactly, their focus should be on saving the club from extinction and spending the summer looking for a ground share that suits the club and more importantly the fans best.

If the club is liquidated today then some of the blame must rest on the consortium for failing to sort out the issue surrounding Selhurst park, they can bitch and moan all they like but at some point they should have accepted that they wouldn’t get it at the price they were willing to pay.

100 % correct Its all very well to describe them as hard nosed businessmen but it seems to me that they know they are the only game in town at the moment and are playing it for all its worth

I think the fans are simply being used by the consortium to go on these protests and get a better deal for them

Selhurst Park is not the be all and end all, I would be very happy to see the club saved and to then pressurise Bromley Council to get the NSC at crystal Palace park

SW, are you going to change your comment to '5-0 but we can't call it home'.

Seriously though, hope it works out. But you're a tit.

Get a grip.

We were quite prepared at one point to go down that route, and we wouldn't have lost one supporter.

A football club is essentially the supporters.

So your crowds haven't fallen since moving to The Withdean? Baring in mind AFC Brighton would have been groundsharing with Lancing probably to begin with.

If AFC Palace was ever to materialise, it would be horrific for myself. I really couldn't imagine myself travelling 50 miles to go watch sunday league football. But I know deep down the idiot in me probably would.

Not really.
I'll take comfort in the fact that you may have been shot at!

You'll never know either way. But the important point is I'm home now and spending YOUR TAXES on a new season ticket for Withdean. Not a brass penny will be going up to Smellhurst to help save your mess of a club

How do you like them apples?
