We are down to the bare bones in defence. Don't forget that for some players this was their third game in six days - one of which was a frantic derby, another a "backs to the wall job" with players having to work their socks off, often out of position. I'm amazed we looked as fit and coped as well as did yesterday.

On another note about tank struggling according to some. You should remember he is not as young as he used to be and has played in all ( I think ) of our games this season which is a big ask. Along with that he has had to help nurture the talented Mcshane and also help El Abd etc in how to actually play centre back so I think he has done a sterling job this season for our club.
