Which is how it should be. There was huge discussion on here around Pritchard last season and look what happened there. As much as fans would like to be kept up to date on an hourly basis by the club about transfers, it's much better for us not to know.

There's some deliberate fake news when it comes to transfers (kids on Twitter, fake agent accounts and the like), some poorly resourced, mostly young journos on the tabs recycling rumours and agent kite flying , and then a few well connected journalists (some of the nationals, the BBC/Sky), some connected posters on NSC and especially for the Albion ; The Argus. Naylor and Brian genuinely do talk to managers, heads of recruitment etc on a regular basis and do know. They got a lot of grief for it , for some reason, both on here and especially on Twitter. Mostly because their business is knocking down rumours and fans don't like it.
Filtering out the guff is hard because there's a lot of noise but "nobody knows nuffink" . Nonsense.
Rarely this summer, Hughton has come out and actually confirmed publicly nearly all of the targets that the Argus first wrote about. (Abraham, Brown, Gomez, Stuttner) . So someone obviously does know sumfink.

Hughton usually only talks about loan players rather than perm signings in public. Has he said something about Suttner? or was that the agent and player making everyone aware of our interest?
