These retrospective diving bans must be a worry for Wilf too I'd imagine.
1 yellow for diving in 18 months would suggest your talking bollox

You seem a bit confused by all this. It is the very occasions when he's gone over and is NOT booked that we are interested in.
He folded up his legs before Dann contacted him - point of contact below.
If he is banned then we get the worst of both worlds, as he won't be available against teams that we need to overhaul.
It's amazing that this is the first of the season in the PL. The more players are caught, the more likely they and others are to stop.
The punishment should be deduction of points gained from the match plus one more. That should be enough of an incentive for clubs to get their players to stop doing it.

Some palace fans will still argue that it wasn't a dive.Like this?

just a thought, Everton scored from the resulting penalty that has now been deemed a dive.......goal should be taken away from them ?

Ooh, that's horrible.
So, just to check - is the retrospective ban only for occasions where the ref was conned during the match, like Niasse, and not ones where the diver failed to win the penalty, like above?
The diver will only face action if a match changing decision has been made through conning the ref.
Eg: red card/penalty
Ok. So, a dive that is so blatant that no-one is fooled (like the one in the GIF above) can only be punished at the time.
Thanks
Don't be daft
