Hah, we went ten days without running water after the floods in 2007...you will manage!

Think that was the least of his worries mate.

Thanks for the concern, I really didn't smell that bad as we still had electricity to boil water to wash with and we have heard of the Lynx effect in the West Country...anyway, after a few days you get used to collecting water from the bowser at the end of the road to cook and wash with, plus collecting rainwater to flush the khazi. The whole experience made you realise how much we take running water for granted, which isn't the case all over the World.

Mothers village in Southern Italy, at 10pm the water gets shut off until 6am in the morning, everyday. In the end you get used to it and learn to fill up buckets, fill up the bath. What makes me laugh is no one actually knows why this happens.

Some say the water gets sold to another village,
Others says the mafia have control of it at this time,
Others say the water company are improving the system, but each time I go there it still happens. Its been happening for the last 10 years lol.

When you ask them who they can contact about the water, know one knows either, and people just continue working around it. It makes me laugh. As soon as we lose water here, there is hell to pay, and I understand for the prices we all have to pay.
