Bit self indulgent I know, but I,ve just figured out how to use NSC over here and I can,t find the good luck thread (thanks by the way!).

Everything fine and dandy, just settling in now - think I,ll like it here, even with no apostophy key...

Hope you,re all well back home - sing a song for me this Saturday!!!

Right - time to go buy some SPAM (seriously - just saw a foreign food store with huge stacks of the stuff!) and some tea which isn,t green. I don,t care how much it costs, I must have it!!!

PS: school girls everywhere. :)

I will do!

Not sure how I,m going to get on with this time difference - I,m on NSC in the middle of the afternoon and there only three other users online!

What scares me most is Saturday games kicking off at midnight and midweek games... well, I probably shouldn,t even think about getting up for those!

You shouldn't even think about "getting up" & "schoolgirls" in the same breath either.

Funny moment I had yesterday - in the elevator, a Japanese man got in, after selecting his floor he asked if I was german, I told him I was English, to which he just replied "BECKHAM!"

It was like that old advert. "Bobby Charlton... Nobby Stiles..." :lolol:

You should've said you were Beckham. I'm sure he would've believed you. :lolol: Free drinks, schoolgirls etc.

I hope you bow down to to the Japs.

Working - I'm an English teacher. I've not started yet so I'm busy exploring Shizuoka and stocking up on essentials from the hundred yen store!

I hope not!

'''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' Great stuff - I'd actually given up looking! :clap2:

the hundred yen store is amazing. cheaper than the pound shop with more stuff and far far better quality.

i was in one yesterday and found a tongue scraper and a d.i.y. dentist kit which included a nasty looking scraper thing for tartar and one of those little angled mirror thingys:yawn:

Postcards will be in the post soon! Honest! ;)

I think the 100 Yen store will be a regular staple of my life here, I think it works out about 80-90p or something doesn't it? Quality!

Whereabouts are you in Japan AP? I've just bought myself a nice big map so I can point it out. :)

Do the Safeway laugh.

That is bound to scare off/impress the Japanese.
