Think there used to be a brewery at one of the pubs in Arundel, their beer was excellent, was a fair few years ago mind, so might not be there any more.

I love Arundel. If the weather is nice walk round the lake and wander down to the black rabbit for a pint next to the river!

If the weather is good take 1 and half mile hike up Mill Road to the Black Rabbit and sit and eat your lunch and have a pint on the riverbank.

Took Mrs BHA and her daughter there last year when they were over here and they were fascinated buy the castle but even more amazed at walking round the Grave yard opposite the cathedral as it had head stones going backk to before America was discovered. Okay, dull to us but quite something to them.

Butlers is a top restaurant in Arundel - good quality food at reasonable prices.

Why not save money and just utilise the hotel room in harmony ??? ???

m20gull, that is a hell of a shame, I remember the beer being particularly good, not quite on par with the demise of King and Barnes but a loss nonetheless...

Closed now. Pub's still there but no brewery.

The Arundel Brewery used to be part of The Swan pub but moved to an industrial estate a few years back. According to the brewery's web site they still supply beer to The Swan which is found by turning left at the mini roundabout just after the bridge in the town centre.

Do they still have rowing boats on Swanborough lake? I spent ages in them as a kid. I also recommend the Black Rabbit. :drink:

Swanbourne lake is Brill!! Can you still walk all the way around it!

Seem to remember a little bench in front of the duck feeding area and a hill type thing kids run up and down!

er..no!

The Swan Pub was actually a family run pub and hotel for years and did not have its own brewery.
It was actually purchased by The Arundel Brewery about 12 years ago but the brewery were already based at the industrial estate in Ford back then. They simply became the owners and used it as an outlet for their ale

Forget the Black Rabbit.
Rip-off or what!
Went there for the first and only time last year on way back from home game.
Pint of Cider:Something like £2.90!!!
I usually go to the only pub in Arundel which is in the Good Beer Guide.
Think it's called the Rose & Crown?
