More so than than the, last 3 Goldstone seasons, Gillingham seasons and the many Withdean seasons of mediocrity ? Surely not !

During those years we did not expect much, however for whatever reason we found ourselves in the position we are right now, and to be honest and this is only my opinion its the poorest we have played even during those years we have more than 3 shots on target during 90 minutes.

Bollocks did we - would take us god knows how many games to create the same amount of chances we've had in these last two games

Oscar You have taken our Club backwards, the team were shocking today set up all wrong tactically and player wise. They entered the most important game of the season un prepared and that Sir is your fault. If you go down you go down but you go down fighting, we went down as a GUTLESS group of 11 people.

Your Job as Manager is to make the team think they are unbeatable, that you did not do.

IMHO You should not be here next season as you will take us ever further backwards.

IMHO you're a fool.

You mean like under Barry Lloyd getting relegated from the old Division Two; P46 W12 D11 L23....yeah, just like right now with our second top 6 finish in a row. In fact, under Lloyd we managed 19th, 18th, 6th, 23rd (relegated). It's a brilliant comparison.

Where do all these accounts come from that have been registered for years and have less than 100 posts? Are they just second accounts people log on to troll without their main account becoming a laugh stock?

Says the guru that's been on here for only 3 years.

Is it a closed shop?

What my opinion makes me a prick because it is different to yours? Does that not make you the prick for thinking I am??

1968 was my first match.
Plenty of morons been going years not just the JCL's as your post proves. Do you sit in the WSU block H and criticise every player after 10 mins but do a runner when confronted by proper fans?

Makes me laugh when people say that the football is the most boring they've seen. It all comes down to what our expectations are nowadays. Are they seriously saying that they would rather watch the Mahoney Johnson and Gislarson teams play than the present one

Be fair. Those teams did have comedy value which alleviated the boredom a little.

Correction he is our head coach not our manager
Which means he doesn't deal with transfers and things like that so considering it's not even his team he has done well

There's a difference between quality and excitement.
Last few years at Goldstone were of a terrible quality, but often packed with incident.
Some of the last few seasons at Withdean were I do agree turgid affairs.
What is gauling though is when you see a squad of talented attacking players being set up to generally play slow, pedestrian football. For much of this year our offensive tactic was to unleash Lua Lua in the 60th min.

We finished as high as we did because defensively we've been sound. Not because we have arrived at an attacking solution that works.
The only teams we scored more goals than got relegated or finished 20th, 19th and 18th.

It seems pretty clear that the real benefit of the systems we've played in the past couple of years is that, defensively, it's very strong. If you have the attacking players to make it work, it can be great going forward to..... but I'm not sure we're going to be signing players of that standard for a long time given the financial framework. They could come through the academy, in which case we'll have to be very patient.

So do we continue on the current course (which will, at least, keep us out of relegation trouble) or get a bit more pragmatic, look at the players we have and can afford and find a manager who tailors his tactical approach to them. In an ideal world, the former - and hope the youth system produces come gems. But it could be a hell of a slog.

After JFCs performance on Thurs, putting him back in the middle in that atmosphere on such a big occassion, I'd suggest could have ruined the lad. He's lacking in presence.
At the time I thought Chicksen was the right choice. Ince was making a difference in the middle of the park too.

Are you talking about the bloke who looks a bit like a dwarf Eddie The Eagle Edwards and sits by the vomitory (approx. F185...?) ...
