Oscar has lost the fans

Reactionary you most certainly are not. You would happily have sat watching more of the dross we were playing . Some of us called for a change. Oscar finally implemented those changes. Do you think we were right? Have things improved since we played more attacking with Lingard closer to Ulloa, more creativity in midfield with just one holding. Full-backs pushing on and LuaLua starting. All this proves is that we were right. Some of us love the Albion and will not blindly support a manager whose tactics were so obviously wrong.

Haha you & SOG think that you had something to do with the change :D
The full backs have been pushing on all season. Ince and Buckley got injured - THAT is what changed the formation.

So how many were chanting "you don't know what you're doing" at Oscar tonight? And if there were none, why not? A bit of consistency required I think.

Not sure he does know what he is doing, maybe Nathan does? In reality the tactics have changed, strangely since the fans started getting on Oscar's case........

Maybe just maybe perhaps its possibly possible that he never had the players available to play the way we have since Barnsley!

This and a thousand times this. I love that our fans are so deluded they think OG has never thought of implementing their tactical genius before. And to be honest today showed why he hasn't wanted to risk starting Lua Lua most of the time. He ran out of energy very quickly. If Buckley is fit Friday OG will suddenly have attacking options hat he hasn't had all season.

Utter tosh about full backs pushing on ALL season, they even began to sit back again after the first goal, inviting Charlton on to us. Thankfully we got a second goal before half time.

Have you met our full backs Bruno & Stephen Ward?
Bruno spends more time in the opposing half and, after a slow start, Wardy puts in most of our crosses.
I do wonder what matches other people watch.

Why all the point scoring? The team had clearly become stagnant and we voiced that. We won 3-0 today but still a few things to worry about when we play teams that turn up. But we still won so I'm pleased either way!

If we keep the form, pace and attacking intent up (unlike the second half) then we will do well! As I've said before I have concerns about OG but glad to be proven wrong!

Did you not watch the game between the first and second goals? Charlton were at least matching us, whereas before the goal we were taking them to the cleaners. All because we reverted to our square, dull possession game.

Where have I said I have had anything to do with the change. This is a football forum. After the games we all have our say and opinions. My opinion before was that we were on a downward spiral and that the players seemed to have no confidence in the system that we were playing. You were obviously happy to watch that crap. You obviously think that it makes you a better fan to just agree with everything Oscar does. I support Brighton and when I think the manager is getting it wrong I say so. I don't think my views have any power or consequence. Most of my posts on here are tongue in cheek, as my 'hiding' post was. I think you're a bit sad to have trawled back to a post I made a week ago to try and make a point.

Yes. That twenty minute period was dull and we sat back a bit. But you've based an assessment of our full backs on 25 minute of play in a game where we were ahead and cruising.

Well from my rudimentary knowledge of the two of them, it is Nathan who is the more defensive minded of the two. So perhaps Oscar is getting his way now? Who knows? We are winning, scoring goals at last and in a great position to push on and grab a spot in the play-offs. Everyone needs to get behind the team now - we can debate the rights and wrongs of the season in the summer (that is not a dig at anyone, just a statement).

Erm...there!

Making a lot of baseless assumptions and statements there, my fine bedwetting friend.
I just think a little credit should go to the players and management for getting it right, rather than suggesting that a few blokes at Barnsley made any difference.

I didn't go to Barnsley, you idiot. The only place I voiced that I thought a change was needed was on here. I don't think that me doing that enforced the changes but change was made nonetheless. The fact that after we've won 3-0 the first thing you thought of was to bounce this thread says a lot about you. You are ****ing boring so I''ll leave you to it

Nice to have that cleared up.

If you honestly believe this perhaps you could highlight a change in tactics. Not a change in personnel but a change in tactics.

Or are you confusing a change in tactics with the same tactics just paying off.

What changes? We've playing a similar formation all season. We're just better at it at the moment, largely because we missed Stephens hugely and Linguard took a while to settle.
All these posts of 'no more negative football' are very black and white.
